After buying it when visited me, I decided to give it a try on Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories in his home. And the reason I wanted to play it, because I just want to know the story goes.

To know how the story goes, of course I need to play it.
And after around 4 hours of palying it, I usually have to say:

FUCK IT!
FUCK IT to HELL!

Okay, basically, I know that this game was meant to be in Game Boy Advance. Meaning, card game is something I could tolerate, recently playing Rockman Ryuusei, and yeah, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed playing Kingdom Hearts 2. I love beating the crap outta those Heartless and Nobodies. Though the camera's pretty much screwed, but it's okay, i could tolerate that.

BUT PLAYING CARD GAME IN FULL 3D ACTION IS NUTS!

Look, I don't mind to arrange a strategy of what my card should be. But i JUST NEED A TIME TO STOP! Dodging attacks, FIXING the camera viewpoint, and ARRANGING cards to ATTACK is pretty MUCH SHIT in the MY FXXXING ASS!!!

Not to mention you have to aim it RIGHT to the enemy before you, NOT BEHIND YOU! No, aiming button doesn't help much, because you're too panic to charge or to select your cards. You will end up running like crazy over the edge of arena because you don't know what your enemy's next movement is. And if you're facing the Heartless Boss, you're screwed if you don't focus on him, and if especially he launches ALL AROUND EARTHQUAKE move. You wouldn't know when that happens, because of course, the camera will steadily FOCUS on you, and the aiming button doesn't much help.

I never bragged about KH. No matter how 'idealist' or 'dreamy' the theme is, I think because it's trying to be magical and ' pseudo-philosophical'. But the concept of the game itself is pretty much A TURN OFF! Let me get this straight:


1: "Card Break"-ed is ANNOYING! I can take the fact that enemy can hit me. But just because I fail to attack because my card was cancelled by a HIGHER NUMBER, whereas I attack first, that is ANNOYING! You have WASTED some NUMBER of CARDS!

The example is: Enemy throws an attack with power of "3", and then I cancelled with a bigger summon card of "5", an enemy could CANCEL my summon with a card of "6"! WTF!? You know there's MULTIPLIES of enemy swarming over the arena!!

2: Card Charging is STUPID... okay may be I take the conclusion too fast. But PLEASE! I couldn't charge while the enemies are ATTACKING me! And what if it a must because Ihave consumed entire of my cards? "Sorry dude, you're FUCKED!"

I can't just even slash my damn keyblade. I NEED to charge, but really, I need to charge while the enemies are attacking me! Yeah. Real time. 3D Environment. Isn't it AWESOME!? Awesome my ASS!

And for the 3rd time charging for just getting THREE cards is STUPID! Why does that happen? Because I waste too much cards? Gee sorry, i have LOTS of heartless CANCELLING my card, and to defeat them I have to STOCK my card which might end up useless because some enemies are OUTSIDE THE SCREEN thanks to the stupid CAMERA, GODDAMIT!

In this case, I would compare it to Ryuusei no Rockman, because even though he has wasted all the cards, at least he still has his Rock Buster. Minor damage, yes, but hey, as long as you could evade the attack, you'll be fine.


3: You need to focus on to enemy. You need to focus on your card. No, no, you need to focus on DODGING their attack! NO! STUPID NO! You have to focus on the NUMBER of your CARD! Don't let'em break you! NO DUMBASS, you need to watch spoil of wars because you might miss special summon cards!!

GEEZ, MAKE UP YOUR MIND ALREADY! You want the action of slashing'em all or CARD STOCKING!? This is real time, dammit! No time to loose or OH GODDAMIT they all are ganging up on me, kicking my ass, because I am ALONE! I forgot, my allies have been turned into cards, there's why I'm by MYSELF! There's no one to help me! Yet the heartless are still there with the same numbers! Geez, "thanks" Donald and Goofy!

*speaking of loneliness: Though you see Donald and Goofy in the Castle of Oblivion, but the stage of other world is dully arranged, the map is screwed and you don't know where you have to go, and there's NO ONE but you and popping-up heartless in the scene. Pretty much depressing, artwork-wise.

Conclusively,
may be in GBA, the system would work nicely, hence it's 2D, and for the limited surrounding. But as for the real time surrounding in 3D, I need to focus my horribly 3D-camera, to attack the enemy precisely, INSIDE the view of camera, especially if they're boss and GIGANTIC, and there's NO ONE to help me! Even in Kingdom Hearts 1 Sora still have his partners to aid him, or at least curing him.

I might finish Kingdom Hearts 1 someday. But for this KH 1,5? I better let it go. I don't have much patient to play it, so I might not say screw to the oh-so-phylosophical story about "Forgetting some to remember some and to remember some would forget some"-crap.

i had so much hope on Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Playing it, beating Heartless ass for a magical fairy story. BUt I fail. Fail because I couldn't focus on at least FIVE SIMULTANEOUS thing on the battle. I am very dissapointed of the concept, and I never feel like being cheated in the game like in this one.

I never say anything bad like this blatantly before, but for this time...
